Welcome to BRCL

The Bio-inspired Robotics and Controls Lab, directed by Dr. Zheng Chen, focuses on cutting-edge research in bio-inspired robotics, smart materials, and advanced control systems.

Our research spans bio-inspired robotic fish with 3D maneuverability, artificial muscle technology using IPMC materials, solar energy storage systems, and advanced control algorithms for industrial applications. We are proud recipients of the NSF CAREER Award and multiple research grants from NSF and industry partners.
